TRADE MARK OF SCOTT'S EMULSION DOSAGE: The best time to take Scott's Emulsion is 15 or 20 minutes after eating, although it may be taken at any time. The dose for a baby one to three months old is one-eighth to one^-quarter teaspoonful three or four times daily. From three to six months old the dose is about half-a-teaspoonful; from six months to one year old, from half to three-quarters of a tea-spoonful ; and from one to three years, one tea-spoonful. For adults we suggest beginning with a tea-spoonful or a dessertspoonful and increasing to a tablespoonful three or four times a day, the last to be taken just before going to bed. Scott's Emulsion may be taken in milk or water or, in the case of: adults, a little wine. Scott's Emulsion being a thick liquid, a certain amount of it clings to the sides and bottom of the bottle, when about finished, and is often wasted. This remainder can easily be diluted with a spoonful of water and the bottle emptied to the last drop. Any suggestion for improving this Diary in subsequent issues will be welcomed by SCOTT & BOWNE, Ltd. 53 SZECHUEN ROAD, SHANGHAI. |
