Show 67 1t looked likebridgs of stone acrossdeep canyon whioh bridge ocast 1ts shadow below It was the shadow of Delieate Aroh on the wall of the large catoh basin behind it It could be seen that four miles Leaving the last-desoribed site of dinossur bones fon the brink of Cash Valley one walks but to the top of the next rise to see this arch It is the most commanding feature of the landsoape and catehes and holds the eye The cbserver is then on the south side and getsfull front-on view of this beautiful objeot One oan approach it from that side only fromdistance long foous lens is necessary to get an image of any sizejtele-photo lens 18 better But one may get closer by crossing Cash Velley amd going up the stook trail then the first view is sideways to the aroh md was at that moment that the beautiful shadow caught by the camera was gotten-the very shadow seen four miles away This view makesmost excellent lantern slid Among the dozens and dozens of exposures made the photogrepher esteens this little view the Prettiost of the entire ares Another photographer walked around the top edge of the eatoh busin ticklish Job end tookmost exoellent view from the north he tookside view ondull day no shadow showing but mote the attractivencss of the huge Tounded-out water basin below and to the side of the arch note the pit marks in the walls This catoh basin colleots wator after cach storm and the livestook stream up the trail single file Indian fashion end drink here So many hoots have worn that trail that its full langth is easily discernible on the face of the slick rook and in places the hoofs have worn the herd send rook into 11ttle oups thTee and four inches deep where hoof after Noof hes beriyl 2603 Beckwith Family Al rights reserved |
