Show THE CHURCH REVIEW.

FIEST M. E. CHURCH.
A SWELL SOCIAL.
The ladies of the church gave a "poverty social" last Friday evening. Now the men are to give a "Swell Social" on the first Thursday in January. The men's socials have been among the most popular entertainments in the past. They propose to out-do themselves this time. This will indeed be a swell social. There is more than one meaning to the word "swell."
THE LEAGUE.
The Epworth League is having a tide of prosperity. At the cabinet meeting last Monday night, six active and nine associate members were received. The active members are, Charles L. Hoag, Miss Annie B. Evans, Miss Mamie Wilson, Miss Etta Ricketts, and Mrs. W. W. Rivers. The associate members are, Miss Ollie Myers, Miss Grace Oglesby, Miss Leila Davis, Will Gebb, Arthur Johnson, S. Stringer, Fred Ulner and W. C. Mabry. We trust that those who joined as associate members will soon see their way clear to become active members.
M |
