Further Information This page has publication information of The Church Review, and two opinion articles. The first article is about the temperance efforts of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and the need for awareness of intemperance in the United States. The second article is in protest of a convention in South Carolina to change the state constitution, with reasons for the protest being that the change will degrade African American civil rights by having property and educational qualifications. The second article builds up to the issue of the convention by reflecting on the Civil War and racism in the southern states, and afterwards suggests a plan of action against the changes that will lead to discrimination.
