Show Woman's Board of Home Missions of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America
156 Fifth Ave., New York, N. Y.

Dictated.
New York, July 13, 1906.

Mr. George B. Sweazey,
Salt Lake City, Utah.

My dear Mr. Sweazey:-
It is somewhat unfortunate, perhaps, that material for the Mormon number of the Home Mission Monthly must be gathered in the summer, which is your vacation time, but on the other hand you will doubtless be able to answer promptly when this letter reaches you, as, indeed, it is very desirable that you should, for the increasing size of our edition of the magazine makes it very necessary to gather the material a very considerable time in advance.
The three topics which it has been decided to give prominence to in this number of the magazine are:- 1st. The Mormon hierarchy; its power and purpose; 2nd. Mormon missionaries; their methods; 3rd. Our work and its influence. Will you kindly give me your impressions upon one or more of these points? I should like very much to have you add items in regard to the Collegiate Institute.
I will not use your name in connection with your communication unless you are willing. In writing please inform me on this point.
We desire to put facts before our constituency, for in no other way can we secure their zealous co-operation in supporting our missionaries and schools. Obstacles and discouragements may be frankly stated, as well as more promising features.
[Continues on next page.]

|
