THE CHURCH REVIEW. <br><br> TOOELE, METHODIST. <br> The school year opens very auspiciously at Grantsville. It premises to be the best year in the history of our work at that place. <br> Miss Murphy returned some time ago, after spending a very enjoyable vacation with her parents and friends in Illinois. She is full of hopeful plans for the future of her work. <br> The interest and attendance is being sustained in all the departments of our work at Stockton. We contemplate making some very important additions to our work in Tooele. Although the work has been organized over twenty years, it is today the most discouraging point on the Tooele Circuit. Despite the fact that such men as Erastus Smith, J. P. Morris and J. D. Gillilan put in eleven years of their best work on this appointment, all the visible results we have, are a very small handful who are in sympathy with our work. Such results are enough to weary the patience, both of the toiling missionary and the society which tries hard to support him. But it is the Lord's work and we must bide His time and do our duty. <br> If we can receive the necessary encouragement and support we shall open up a free reading room, and invite the spores of young men who are spending their nights (and most of them their days) lounging around on the street corners, to come in and improve their hours by reading some good magazine or other useful periodical. Any person desirous of aiding in such a worthy cause, either by subscribing a magazine or periodical etc., or by subscribing funds to furnish and make comfortable a room which we have at our disposal, may do so by communicating to Rev. T. J. Hooper, Tooele, Utah. <br> Dr. Dods, who for many years has been a warm friend, and an inspiration to many a discouraged worker in this field, died on Sept. 30th. He was buried Oct. 2nd. The pastor delivered a carefully prepared eulogistic address on the deceased. The sympathy of the whole community goes out toward the bereaved family. T. J.
