Description |
For this study, five Somali Bantu refugees living in Salt Lake City, Utah were interviewed about the resettlement process and their daily activities. Bourdieu and Passeron's theory of Cultural Capital was used to identify the resettlement process as an informal institution of education maintaining the inequalities between women and men in the Somali Bantu community. The data collected could be used to help improve the resettlement process and redistribute funds for local non-profit agencies in Salt Lake City to create a program to support leadership and agency among refugee women. |
