Gardner, Reed M., Ph.D. (1970)

Dr Gardner was born in St. George Utah in 1937. Dr Gardner received a BSEE (1960) and Ph.D. (1968) in biophysics and bioengineering from the University of Utah Dr Gardner was Assistant Professor of Biophysics and Bioengineering (1965-1972); Associate Professor of Medical Biophysics and Computing (1973-1978) and Professor of Medical Biophysics and Computing from 1978-2006 at the University of Utah. Dr Gardner was Co-Director for Medical Computing at LDS Hospital from 1985-1996. Dr Gardner was Chair of the Department of Medical Informatics from 1996-2006. Dr. Gardner was elected a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association in 1985. Dr Gardner was Emeritus Professor of Biomedical Informatics. Dr Gardner died in 2020.
