Description |
As history has often proven, by small means great events come to pass. Likewise, when particular objects, actions or forms of thought take on special meaning and become symbols, cultures are formed, nations are founded, and organizations develop unique characters. The frequency with which we use symbols is astounding. The day-to-day activities of speaking, writing and other forms of communication each use symbols as the basic function for their execution. Symbols are the tools to create associations of otherwise unconnected objects, thoughts or feelings. They not only infuse meaning, but also give understanding to the world in which we live. |
