Description |
Taking center stage is an updated simplified beehive, still yellow, but taking inspiration from the side profile of a top bar hive. This historic symbol of Utah's work ethic sits between two mountain slopes, mirroring the location of the states economic heart in the Salt Lake and Utah valleys. The white bands as they outline the mountain slopes and the bee hive also form an abstract representation of a person with their arms outstretched to the sky, alluding to our large population of those devoted to their faiths. Colors: The white represents our famous snow, as well as the salt of the salt flats and the great salt lake. The rusty orange represents our world renowned red rock in southern Utah. The muted brown represents our roots, appreciation, and dedication to the land and earth which we have built our state upon. |
