"The Crossroads of the West - a bold and striking tribute to Utah's moniker as 'The Crossroads of the West' with thicker Saltire bands that pay a stronger tribute to the tens of thousands of pioneers from the British Isles and their famous Union Jack and Scottish flags. The gold represents Utah's legacy and prosperous future ahead while also making it stand out amongst flags throughout the country. The blue represents tradition with a carry over from the current flag, but also the Great Salt Lake. The white star the 45th star on the US flag for statehood, and of course the beehive for The Beehive State and the state's motto of Industry. A feature of this design is that the colors can be switched out as needs be, with the blue replacing the gold, or can even be made into a red and gold flag, or green and gold, blue and white, etc. The 5 sections of the flag also represent the 5 native tribes of Utah."
