Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Velma Peterson Nielsen Mackintosh as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. Sorena made quilts for Relief Society (LDS church); she began to make quilts in 1884 and made quilts for church, pleasure, fund raising, to give as gifts, and out of necessity; this quilt was made for Velma's wedding |
