Description |
"When the hexagon is placed left of center, it white rays give the illusion the honeycomb pattern continues off the flag. The hexagon is a symbol of stability and industry and alludes to the Beehive State of Utah, full of golden yellow energy and wealth potential. Yet, the golden hexagon can also be perceived to be like the sun, life-giving and dawning a new era. The white horizon line divides the calm (peaceful) turquoise blue sky from the deep orange earth that signifies courage and sacrifice. The use of orange and turquoise also hint at the Native American palette and would make the Utah flag unique and distinctive from the much-used standards of red and blue." |
