Show THE CHURCH REVIEW <br><br> General News and Notes <br> METHODIST. Gen. Lew Wallace the well-known author of "Ben Hur," and "Prince of India," is a Methodist. <br> We are most happy to note that with the terrific financial pressure, the missionary appropriation for Utah was cut down one per cent by the missionary committee. We are doing all our work in Utah on $9,000 annually. <br> Gen. O. O. Howard was converted at a Methodist altar and when in Utah some years ago gave great help to our preacher at Beaver, the General being at Fort Cameron. <br> The church Extension Society has authorized the spending of $3,000 in Utah the coming year. That should be able to build several churches. Dr. Iliff says "a millionaire recently said to me, when you are ready to build at Bingham, 'let me know.'" He'll be notified. <br> There is talk of turning over our work in Bulgaria to the Congregational church, who appear to succeed there better than we do. <br> Bishop Thoburn, the "Wizard of |
