The background color represents the red rock deserts in the south and the copper industry in the north. The hexagon in the center is the shape of a honeycomb, representing the beehive which is the state symbol. The blue is a homage to the current state flag, and also symbolizes the importance of water in the desert here. The white snowflake represents "the greatest snow on earth" and the strong winter sports economy. |
