Description This personal memoir follows the life of Nicolas Tang, a 25 year old student at the University of Utah. Though still very young, Nicolas has already traveled much of the world and speaks fluently in three languages. He was born in Argentina, raised in Bolivia, and is of Chinese heritage. Recently, he also became a United States citizen. Because of his unique background and history Nicolas has already had to face many issues that that have challenged his identity and his sense of belonging. Through anecdotes and analytic thinking, this memoir reveals and deconstructs key moments in Nicolas' life. It tracks and explains all of his personal transformations and growth in an attempt to answer the question of who he really is. Ultimately though, he concludes that his life is better by no longer needing such an answer.
