| Title | Automated library services: one law library's experience |
| Date | 2013-09 |
| Description | Automated library services are becoming more commonplace as collections shift from print to electronic format and as technical services staff face changing roles to accommodate the new digital environment. The tasks of ordering, cataloging, and processing print materials lend themselves well to automation. Shelf-ready services can save hundreds of hours a month in staff time and ensure greater workflow accuracy and consistency. In the following article, we share our experience setting up shelf-ready services and provide a road map for other law librarians who are considering this approach. |
