Description |
The yellow and the hexagonal layout of the flag calls out to the hexagonal shape of the beehive. For Utah as the beehive state and for the Latter Day Saints symbolization of the beehive for hard work and communal togetherness. The blue center of the flag represents the great salt lake and its prominence in the history of Utah and early settlement. As well as its prominence in the center of the state. The white represents the snow capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains found in northern Utah. And the red color as well as its mountainous shape represent the red color of the mountains found in the south east of Utah. |
