Medical Illustration Group (1980s)

Julian Maack, Head of Medical Illustration staff with Vesalius panel. In the pre-digital age, the department scheduled numerous photo-shoots of medical faculty, house staff and students. The department was also responsible for photographing ceremonies and special events that took place under the auspices of the medical school and medical center. Posters and slides were also produced by the staff at the request of faculty, staff, and hospital administration before computer programs and applications allowed individuals to master the art of producing their own illustrative media.
