The Congress appropriated for the current year $40,000 for sup-pression of the liquor traffic among Indians. Chief SpeciaI Officer William E. Johnson ha8 had eight special deputies, and haa employed various local constables, police officers, and others to cover spacial assignments in their neighborhoods.
