"This design seeks the simplicity of synthesis to honor the rich meaning of the current flag. The yellow circle against the blue background are both references to the current flag, and the white star in the middle is a simplification of the seal. Concurrently, the star represents one of the 50 states of the Union, as a reference to the National Flag, and the circle alludes to a sense of stability, connection, and community. The colors blue, white and yellow represent success, harmony, and happiness, respectively."
