"My two designs are the same except the shape of the red element. The hexagon changes the focus of the red color to the power of our community. The aspen is the state tree and links our state to it's ancient past and the outdoor wildlife and recreation we enjoy. The white represents the snow of our mountains and our ski industry. The green represents our agriculture, forests and peaceful vistas. The red hexagon symbolizes the power of our community and our red rock cliffs and desert vistas. It also symbolizes the power of our industry and economic strength. The yellow connects us to the light that brings life, knowledge, warmth and energy." |
