Stars - Arranged in the shape of the Beehive Cluster to represent industry and 9 total 5 pointed stars in particular to represent its admission to the Union as the 45th state. Stripes - Made to semi-resemble Native American tapestries with each color arranged to vaguely resemble an image of Utahn scenery. Gold - Richness and Prosperity. First stripe resembles the setting sun's light emerging from the early morning sky. Second stripe resembles the Utahn desert. White - Unity and peace. First stripe represents the clouds. Second stripe represents the snow on the rocky mountains. Blue - Democracy and Innovation. Canton and First Stripe represents the night sky turning into an early morning sky.
