Show I have done different- times before this. They requested me to write the Office, setting forth their pressing needs p and urged that as soon'as money is available that arrangements be made for a payment. _ ' ' •'? *- "! I am of the opinion that another annuity payment should be made to them as early as can be after the money becomes available. If the Office could advise that such will be done it would aid the industrial work now going on here very greatly. These Indians hold good repute with the traders and local merchants in the matter of paying their debts^ and if it could be known now or in the near future that payment would be made sometime in May or June, a large number of the Indians would be able to purchase additional seed and other necessities for putting in crops. If this until, is delayed.^aiter the proper period for seeding it would mean that the money when received would be used for mere subsistence only. I recommend that the Office take such action as it i3 now able to do and notify me accrodirgly at an early date. Very respeotfully, CI CLD/BM. '. Supervisor of Farming in Charge. |
