| Description |
Image of Irish chain variation quilt created around 1850-1860 by an unknown quilter. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Arvil J. Walker as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. This quilt was made by an aunt of Bertha Lillian Nuberry Douglas around 1850-1860. Her name is unknown and nothing is known about her. The quilt was in the possession of Bertha Nuberry Douglas until she passed it on to her granddaughter, Dorthy Mae Griffis Walker, and then it was passed on to Dorothy's daughter-in-law, Arvil Todd Walker, who had it documented with the Heritage Quilt in June 1990. Dorothy Griffis Walker died 7 Jan. 1993 at the age of 94. |
