Show -2- I have given. The tape may be removed easily, if they prove to be usable for your purposes. These are the only copies of these shots that I have, but I know you will care for them as your own. They are, of course, priceless to me. They can be copied quite easily, and you are free to make copies if you wish. I know that you will see that I receive the originals back again. My most spectacular and best photographed shots are of Mt. Athos. Do you suppose the Geographic might be interested in an article on Athos; The exposures are better, aid a number have human beings in them. Perhaps I shall bring them along when I come down to Washington. I am planning now to come down with a friend for the lecture on the 19th. Also, I hope to come over to Princeton during your stay there, but I am quite busy now' finishing my dissertation. Our obstinate friend was not consulted about the job at Penn, so no counteracting help will be needed. A.s a matter of fact, the problem is settled, and I have the appointment. I will assume my duties in the fall. Notification came just last Thursday, and already x have submitted course descriptions for the catalogue. The head of the department, is a most congenial man, and was seemingly very eager for me to come. He has already shown that we shall work as a teem on the department projects, and that he will not be a little dictator. Thank you for your good wishes: they came true.' If I don't make it over to Princeton, I would appreciate your letting me know where you will be in New vork. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Sincerely yours, Howard C. Kee |
