Show PHYSICIANS made HEALTH OFFICFRS. I i , O^ i That there may be unity of action on all reservations and at all schools with Agency duties, for conserving the health of the Indians the following regulations are hereby prescribed: 1. The regular physician, or,contract physician at those places where such is provided in lieu of a regular physician, is appointed the Health Officer of'-the Reservation and Indians. 2. Where there are other physioians, school, Agency or contract, they are appointed Deputy Health Officers, and will act under the orders of the Health Officer. \ \ 3. It shall be the duty of the Health Officer frequently to visit the homes of Indians and Government employes on the reservation, and personally inspect the sanitary condition of the premises and occupants. 4. Where any insanitary conditions prevail he shall direct the responsible oocupant promptly to take the requisite measures for remedying them. 5. All orders end directions must be plainly and simply explained, so that the occupants may be able to understand that they must keep their houses, outbuildings and premises clean so |
