Show In order to simulate different operating conditions of TEA burners, stoichiometric ratio ~R, temperatures and residence times in the three reactors have been suitably changed. ~r flows (~N~ Am) and fuel feeds (F 1, F2) available for each reactor were chosen on the basIs of FL . f predictions and experimental characterization of spray and flow field . Predicted NOx at the eXit 0 pez (150+350 ppm) were in good agreement with experimental values. ,.4J: - tIf ~ '---------~ ECZ AlII IRZ ,/ ....... ----" / Figure 7 : The schen7e thaI gives the best perjornlance. COMBUSTION TESTS Small scale combustion tests For oil and gas combustion tests on reduced scale the CAUX-C plant of Livorno was utilized. The pre-existing auxiliary boiler of the plant has been used, adapting the combustion chamber for research aims. The combustion air heating system, the fuel atomization system, the flue-gas washing system and the stocking and feeding of different fuels were planned and built from scratch. The plant equipped with innovative instrumentation to control the entire combustion process. 7 |
