Abstract An 18-year-old man with Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy and bilateral visual loss had optic nerve enhancement on T1-weighted orbital fat-suppressed magnetic resonance imaging. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of optic nerve enhancement on orbital magnetic resonance imaging in Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy.
