Description |
Infant mortality (the death of an infant <1 year if age) is a sentinel event that serves as a measure of a community's health and social and economic well being. The infant mortality rate has steadily declined over the past decade, but rates remain high for some populations in Utah, and preventable deaths continue to occur. This Health Status Update presents findings from the Utah Infant Mortality Review based on careful reviews of infant deaths in Utah. |
