Description Entrepreneur and inventor, Dr Stanley received his A.B. degree from Columbia College in 1961 and his M.D. from Columbia University in 1965. Dr Stanley completed a residency in anesthesiology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and a residency in general surgery at the University of Michigan. Associated with the University of Utah for 30 years, Dr Stanley served as Professor of Anesthesiology and Surgical Research. Dr Stanley also served as Director of Research. Dr Stanley has served on numerous corporate boards and is known internationally for his work on opioids, other intravenous anesthetics and novel drug delivery techniques. Dr Stanley died in 2017.
