Show BEATTY, NEVADA Beatty, Nevada and thereabouts Is a splendid creation of God. Skies that are blue the whole day through stretching o'er miles of sod. Mountains, barren and rugged, Rock-crowned, fantastic and odd, Surrounding a peaceful valley Blessed by the hand of God. Mile after mile of greasewood, Green the whole year 'round. If you want to see beautiful scenery, Beatty is where it is found. Just take a day off and be happy, Away from worry and care, And climb those age-old mountains, There is peace and quiet there. Cactus and sand and desert And heat and wind and sun Are there forever and ever, And will be when life is done. Away off there on the horizon The sky is orange and pink, purple and gray, red and yellow, when the sun begins to sink. 'Tis tranquil there in the twilight, But watch it darker grow Till the stars come out above you And the moon begins to show. When the valley is filled with moonlight, Flooding those miles of sod, Why, Beatty, Nevada and thereabouts Is a splendid creation of God.
