Image of Log Cabin quilt created in 1885 by Mary Bayles. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Barbara Burt as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. This Log Cabin quilt was priced by aunt Mary Bayles, wife of Herman D. Bayles for Juliette C. Bayles Adams about 75 years ago or 1885. Mary was a member of the fated Marlin Handcart company of 1856. The fuilth was given by the family of Juliette C. Bayles Adams. Who have appreciated and Treasured it. Feb. 4th 1960. |
