Show Pedro decided he better do some fast-talking. "Coyotes, I cannot thank you enough for your help tonight. We have a most important job to do. Without your help many, many children will not have Easter eggs to wake up to in a few hours. I have prepared maps and circled the homes where the eggs need to be taken. With all of you helping and running as quickly as possible, we might just have enough time to get all the eggs delivered. God's speed coyotes. The coyotes took a step closer to Pedro, hungry for a late night snack. Carlos moved in next to Pedro. He put his arm around his friend and said, "And don't forget about the fiesta Pedro. Just like we planned." He winked, "We will meet back here at dawn and have a fiesta to beat all fiestas." "Ah yes, of course," Pedro said, scooting in closer to his friend, realizing how he was helping him. "The fiesta grande!" "Si, si, the biggest fiesta my cousins have ever seen," Carlos said very excited. Pedro was greatly relieved when each of the coyotes took a map and ran off to the north, south, east and west. He watched in amazement. Never did he think he would see the day that coyotes delivered Easter eggs He wondered what his Easter Bunny ancestors might be thinking. As tired as he was, Pedro decided to prepare the fiesta before he rested. He knew the coyotes would be very hungry when they came back. He made an Easter bunny pifiata that looked like Coyote with cactus ears. He filled it with the remaining eggs. He hung it from the nearest saguaro and fell asleep. |
