It is gratifying to note that you are taking an interest in the project of micro-filming the tremendous archive oatarial stored in Egyptian repositories, I bmm no doubt that the exploration of the ground will provi .. tern/mm possibilities with potential results in the field of historical scholarship• I cio accept with, great pleasure the honor of preparing the report requested by the Conralttee on this matter, I have taken note of thh description, conditions and terms outlined in your kind letter, and I find them satisfactory, I plan to sail back to Egypt in the course of this suimer, probably around mid-August 195?. 1 shall immediately consult with some authorities and colleagues on the subject and proceed to compile the preliminary material for that report through the examination of the various collections, I "believe that somewhere about six months will be sufficient. Perhaps 1 can submit that document in the early part of 1958.
