Sweazey. <br> Salt Lake City<br><br> Dear Sir: <br><br> We have decided to send our daughter Bessie to your school until June, she will leave here Saturday morning at 8-45 on the Los Angeles Limited Number 7 which should arrive in Salt Lake at 4-30 in the afternoon. I hope it will be convenient for you to have someone meet her, as she has never been in Salt Lake. She will be dressed in a dark blue suit, three quarter jacket, a brown fur and blue hat. <br><br> I hope she will get along well with you I feel certain she will do well in her studies and music. Any thing she may need for her work, if you have books etc for sale let her have them and we will remit draft as soon as we get statement <br><br> Sincerely <br><br> Mrs J. N. Gates <br><br> |

In this letter to George Sweazey, Mrs. J. N. Gates writes that her daughter Bessie is to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah, for school, and asks that someone meet with her on her arrival. Mrs. Gates also requests that Mr. Sweazey bill her for any text books Bessie needs. Mr. Sweazey is the principal of the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute. |
