Show New Jersey Academy<br> John M. Cathcart<br> Principal. <br><br> Logan, Utah, Jan. 25th, 1906. <br><br> Dear Mr. Sweazey; <br><br> Your letter of Jan. 24th with check for $9.30 came last night. Enclosed please find Wilkinson and Son's receipt for that amount. <br><br> Mr. Craig wrote me that he would leave New York Wednesday, Jan. 17 and go direct to Good Will somewhere in the Dakotas. From then he comes direct to Logan. We look for him anytime now, but have received no word since his last letter from New York. Hope to have him with me over Sunday. Will let you know as soon as I hear from him. Think he plans to visit all of the stations within reach of Logan before going elsewhere. Kindly remember me to Mrs. Sweazey and Miss Katherine. <br><br> Cordially yours, <br><br> John M. Cathcart. <br><br> P.S. Had a close call last night. They tried to make an elder out of me. In this letter to George Sweazey, John M. Cathcart writes that he has enclosed a receipt for Mr. Sweazey's purchase from Wilkinson and Son. He then writes of Mr. Craig's plan to come visit him in Logan, Utah. In closing his letter, Mr. Cathcart sends his regards to Mrs. Sweazey and Miss Katherine. He then adds a post script that he almost became an elder the previous night, perhaps referring to the dominant religion in the area, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. |
