Description This article explores sexual health curriculum development in community education settings using Critical Participatory Action Research. The research was conducted in collaboration with community health educators at a nonprofit organization in the Intermountain West. It explored the strengths and limitations found in implementing an online, culturally sustaining pedagogy for sexual health education, instructors' perceptions of the efficacy of online learning programs, and how community education practices can utilize culturally sustaining pedagogy to make educational content more meaningful for learners. Interviews were the primary source of data collection the findings center personal connections, learning settings, as well as access to health information. The research was designed to support the nonprofit organization's work and to make recommendations for future work in culturally sustaining community education.
