We value the differences in our students, faculty and staff as unique teaching tools that will help our students expand the fullness of their education." But how does the U, in a stereotypically Caucasian, heterosexual, middle-class-income state, create diversity in its faculty, staff and student body? The terms "faculty" and "staff" can sometimes become confusing. "A faculty member is anyone who teaches a class who has tenure or is on tenure track," said Karen Dace, Associate Vice President for Diversity.
