Abstract The start-up and operation of the system discussed is the third generation of EXSCO Environmental Services modular waste incinerators. The system can burn a wide variety of solid and liquid wastes efficiently while meeting stringent emmission standards. The system is currently being used to clean up an abandoned waste site. The modular unit was preassembled, trailer mounted, and set up on the Sydney Mine site in a matter of weeks.
