Description Letter dated 20 December 1890 from "E. Galbraith" of Diaz, Chihuahua, Mexico, to her "sister," Mrs. Jane Hooper (Wilkie) Blood; writer is probably the wife of Jane's brother, William Wilkie Galbraith, who settled in a Mormon colony in Chihuahua, Mexico
Additional Information Jane Wilkie (Hooper) Blood, mother of Mary Hooper (Blood) Linford, was the daughter of John Hooper and Ann Wilkie. Ann Wilkie and her first husband, George Galbraith, were the parents of William Wilkie Galbraith, who settled at the Mormon colony of Colonia Diaz in Chihuahua, Mexico, in 1889. He had four wives. The writer of this letter was probably his first wife, Elizabeth Matthews Layton, as she had sons whose names are mentioned in this letter.
