Show • • Page 35 Minutes of special meeting of the 3xecutive Committee of the Desert Employment Bureau held at the office of the Bureau.fr l33 Ho:bor t. .. ve·nue Monday ,-'iugust 8th, l93B ,at 5: 15 P .M. There were present: Executive Cha irman John Fetzer,Elia s A Smith, Byrum J.Jensen,Alexander E.Ca.rr,Fred J.Heath, and r,:Btnager John Iff . ·.Jfhi taker. Invocation was offered by Elder H-,rum J .Jensen. Inasmuch as the Presiding Bishoprie at the l ast meeting with the Presidents of the 0ix City Stakes and also the ~xecutive Committee members,-took"over the matter entirely and recommended that the Deseret Employment Bureau be closed and the matter hereafter handeled by the Presiding Bishopric direct with the aid of and co-operation ~xecutive representatives of the Six City Stakes but handaled in stakes instead of thru a Bureau,- the ~anag er states that under instrmctions from the Presiding Bishopric he had sent a letter to each of the bishops of the six city stakes instructing them to forward no more funds to this office;he ~d also authorized Auburn Chipman by instructimns of the Presiding Bishporic to audit all the accounts of the Bureau as of August 15th,l932,which had been done,and he now presented for approva l of the committee the final audit which is made a part of these minutes and which shows since Jany lst,l93~ the time of rhe last audit,ca sh receipts of and accountability of cash,-----------------------------$3.661.60 Cash expenditures during this period---------------------3.453.51 't ~ ~ ~ J ~() And check forwa rded to Sylvester c .cannon,13ishop,of ba.l. 208.09) II • This closed all responsibility so far as the Manager was concerned. On motion of E.A.Smith the ~ udit as read was approved and ordered made part of the minutes. The Manager a lso presented a list of personal property belonging to the guraau as follows: Besides the minutes and reposrt,letters etc.,~ t ables, \ 2 desks, ~ typewriters 5 chairs 1 filing case and cards 1 cupboard 2 hat racks 2 wicker settees 2 rugs. There being bo further business,on motion of A?E. Carr,the Deseret Employment was declared closed and the further responsibility for future action turned over to the Presiding Bishopric.
