This was his first experience in deal i ng with rail roads f'or ·mass transportation of emigrants of which , howeve r , in later years .. , he was to do so much in migrat ing the s a ints f rom t he s outh to t he set t lements in t he San Luis Valley in Colorado a s well as ~ settle; e en~~i ~tah and Ariz ona . After completing their work in Cha ttanooga , El de r Morgan and his companio , El der LisonbeJD re t urned to their f ield of l abor in Walke r County, Georgia , where t hey held a serie s of meetings i n Cedar Grove and other settlements t here a bout . Ce dar Grove 9-.. t hey made the acqua intance of a young Methodist Minister by t he name of A. Henry Mitchell who shortly a f t er joined the church and cont inued in his mini stry but thereaf ter prea ched in hi s church t he Gospel pl an a s t aught him by the two Mormon El ders . Having made the acqua int ance of a man by the name of J&mes Cr-mp-bell who resided a t his home loca ted on the top of Look Out Mountain , the two El ders were in vi ted to sp end a ±'ew c1eys the:re and a ccepted the |
