Show courses, or for parts of courses only; (b) General certifiaates for Primary Grade; (c} General Certif icates for Intermediate Grade; (d) Diplomas for Academic Grade. 3. These Certificates will be issued only upon the following condit i ons: (a) Proof of full standing in the Chur·oh of Jesus Ghrist of Latter-day Saints must be filed in the shape of a statement· signed· by the Bishop of the ward in which the applicant is a member; ( b} Proof of efficiency in the specified branches must be furnished by examinations before the General Board of Examiners. 4. Limited Certificates (licenses) will be issued, good only ~ for one year from date of issuance, to those now actually enga ged in the Church School servi c.e, upon the following conditions: (a) Acting Principals in Ghurc:h Schools, and Teachers who have taught academic studies in any of our Academies, upon the presentation of testimonials from their respective stake Boards expressing satisfaction with services already rendered, and upon filing proof of standing in the Church as above mentioned, wil~ receive Certificates for the Interme diate Grade, good :t'or .one year; (b) Other Instructors actually engaged in Church Schools, upon the presentation of testimonials of satisfaction with past labors from their r espective Principals, and upon filing proof of standing in ~he Church, will receive Certificates for the Primary Grade, good for one year. 5. The curriculum for each grade as as follows: PRIMARY GRADE 1. Theology ?. Geography, 2 . Theory of Teaching , 8. Spelling, 3. GraMaar and Compositip~, 9. Writing 4. Reading, 10 . Drawing and Singing , 5. Object Lesson 11. Hygiene 6. Arithmetic. 12. Calisthenics. INTERMEDIATE GRADE 1. Theology 2. Theory of Teaching 3. Rractice of Teaching. 4. Grammar and Composition, 5. Arithmetic 6. Spelling and Punctuation ? • Penmanship. 8. Georgraphy and History 9. Drawing and Music 10~ Logic and Book keeping 11. Physiology and Hygiene 1 2 . Reading and Elocution. 13. Natural History ACADEMIC GP.ADE All applicants for eacam.ina tion in this grade are required to transmit to the general supintendent a written notification of their intention at least one week before the time set for the exa~ination.
