Transcript (typescript, 22 pages) of three interviews with Yoshio Katsuki, a Japanese-American living in Utah in 1984. Katsuki (b. 1901) tells of his birth in Japan, and how his family members immigrated to the United States, one at a time. He recalls his trip to this country, traveling first class so that he would not have to wait to disembark. Other topics covered include being picked up by the FBI after Pearl Harbor, being paroled to live with his sister in Ogden, and teaching "Shigin." |
