Show lAMA Acoustic Showcase April16 Friday April 16th at 8:00pm at A Cup of Joe (353 West 200 South, SLC) the lAMA Acoustic Showcase is proud to present local performing songwriter Kyle Wulle and the acoustic trio, Solstice. Solstice is a new local acoustic act formed by the collaboration of Kris Zeeman, Kami Hall and Jason Linford. While they have worked as a group for only a little more than four months, their lineage has some impressive history in Salt Lake. Kris comes to Salt Lake from upstate New York and has worked with such local bands as These Daze and The Uneven. She was awarded the title of Best Acoustic Artist of 1996 and this year tied with Leraine Horstmanshoff for"Best Solo Performer" in a local awards ceremony. Kami and Jason are both still actively involved in the local band Second Hand Grace. Kami has participated in several Salt Lake bands, Chola, The Sun Masons and The Given to name a few. Kris and by Gene Deal Kami join their songwriting skills with Jason's guitar work to deliver their unique style of acoustic folk and blues. Don't miss this acoustic collaboration. You'll love it. Kyle Wulle is a long-time local favorite. After the release of his debut CD, Between The Cracks, he was selected for the 1997 Kerrville Folk Festival Songwriters Competition. Kyle tells me he developed a huge following in Kerrville. Two of his biggest fans there had a combined weight of over 500 pounds. But success has never been a stumbling block for Kyle. He continues to sing about redheads and whiskey, spankings and broom-tail ponies, all with the keen sensitivity of a union worker from Magna. If he can't make you laugh, he might just make you angry. Kyle doesn't get out often, so don't miss the opportunity to hear him live at A Cup of Joe.
