Sam Bush, Peter Ostroushko, and The Louisville Mandolin Orchestra perform jazz, ragtime, classical, Broadway, and traditional music. March 9 NEW ORLEANS JAll Two wonderful groups from New Orleans are featured including the exciting jazz/second line music of the Rebirth Marching Jazz Band and the beautiful ballads and hard-driving blues of Walter "Wolfman" Washington and his band. March 16 NATIONAL HERITAGE FELLOWSHIP AWARD WINNERS CONCERT Six winners of the National Endowment for the Arts' highest award for traditional artists featuring: tap dancer Howard "Sandman" Sims; Cajun great Dewey Balta; blues singers John Cephas and Phil Wiggins; cowboy singer/humorist Glenn Ohrlin; Hawaiian singer Clyde Sproat; and Veracruz musicians Jose Gutierrez and Los Pregoneros del Puerto. March 23 CHRISTINE LAVIN AND THE ROUNDER RECORDS ALLSTAR BLUEGRASS BAND A witty and exciting double-header featuring the humor and original songs of Christine Lavin, anu a one-time gathering of bluegrass legends T any Rice, David Grisman, J.D. Crowe, Alison Krauss, and Mark Schatz. March 30 MASTERS OF PERCUSSION A once-in-a-lifetime gathering of percussion greats showcase the power and beauty of their instruments featuring: steel d;um maste; Andy Narell; vibraphonist Dave Samuels of Spyro Gyra; African drummers Djimo Kouyate and Abas Badji; body percussionist Keith Terry; jazz drummer Ed Soph; J.C. Combs and the Wichita State University Percussion Ensemble; plus a special performance of "War Games" for 12 p6fcussionists and two wrestlers.
