Show SN: Relocated. SAM: From California. SN: I don't know whether it was .. Oh, I remember her telling us. SAM: Topaz, what were the other ones? SN: Oh, there were several of them. There was nne in Arizona. GT: Wasn't there one at Tule Lake? SN: Yes, Tule Lake. There were quite a few that just stayed here after they were relocated. GT: Were there very many people that came into this community? SN: Yes, we had a lot of people relocated through out here. SAM: Many of them were taken back to California. ·sN: Some stayed though. GT: There are some families left. SAM: Not too many, unless they got married. PN: Did your father ever utilize the railroad to ship his crops, that you recall? SN: Not that I remember, did we. We never shipped anything on the railroad? Oh, we shipped celery, just to Elko, Elko, Nevada. PN: Would you load it over here at Corinne? SN: Yes, there was a station here, a railroad station. SAM: Part of that station is that cafe over here, (in Corinne). SN: We used to ~hip milk and cream on the railroads here. GT: And where would they -go? To Elko too? SN~ No, I think they must ... not have gone too far. SAM: To Brigham. |
