Show RICH 9 T: What about the siding, you mentioned _earlier that you could remember a siding? R: Yes, that platform. T: There was a loading dock to the station? R: Right. T: Now, was the siding, obviously the siding would have been up to the dock, or was the dock right to the main line? R: Oh, I think it was on a siding. It wouldn't make sense to have it on the main line, although there wasn't enough traffic there in my day to have worried about it. You wouldn't have needed a siding because you could have unloaded every-thing, although • T: Was the main line, the main line would have been ~prth of this siding and dock? Or would it have been south? t R: You knw, I .don't recall for sure whether the sta~t,pn was on the ••. Was the i· . ~ t station on the south side of the main tracks? T: Well, that's the picture we've gotten from • R: I think that's it. But it seems to me there was a siding on the other side as well. N: So, there were two sidings? R: I don't know. You'd better not quote me ••• T: Well, now, it's interesting. If it strikes you memory, usually the first instance of recall is the one that's most valid. Now we've had people talk about that siding a little bit. Would it have been out to some corrals or would it have been . a turn arourid "Y?" It might have been a turn around "Y." R: I don't recall anything that extensive. ' . ,. ' |
