Show March 24, I960 Dear Dr. Berger: Just a note to enclose: 1. Horth's recent letter, which I showed you yesterday; 2. My letter to North, of today1s date; 5. My letter to Minor, of today's date also. (I hope I havenH seemed More hopeful than warranted, or misled Minor into taking a more optimistic vie* of the prospects than is justified. I studied thoroughly the whole file before writing this letter, and, to the best of my abiity, I tried to pirn portray the prospects and conditions of their fulfillment as accurately as the cumulative impact of all of Berth1s and Harris' letters jointly justified). Harris1 letter, about vhich you just told me over the telepnone, fortifies my new hopefulness about the situation. I feel much more hopeful, and commensurately more eager, about the whole thing, afte; our chat yesterday and her letter today. Cordially, |
